Where did you go to school?

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

Why did you decide to go into architectural design?

As a child, I was always fascinated with how things were made and put together. I was notorious for getting a new toy and taking it completely apart to see how it was made. This drove my parents crazy, as I ended up with a box filled with different parts from many toys as I tried to create my own inventions. As I got older, my fascination continued with the built environment, which led me into architecture.

What do you do at RMW?

I am the Director of Architecture for the San Jose studio.

What do you like about the firm?

I love the people I work with. Their energy, dedication, support, and pride makes it great.

What do you do outside of work?

Family, family, and family. From family vacations, to sporting events, to social and school events, we love to spend time together. It can be a simple walk downtown to our favorite local frozen yogurt shop, or a walk through the farmer’s market together, or riding bikes together and stopping off for a quick snack. One tradition we have at the Todd household is movie night. We grab a favorite movie, make a ton of popcorn, and cuddle up together for a great evening of fun and laughs. I am one proud dad and one lucky husband.

What sport do you play?

I am a sports enthusiast and love participating in all sports, from baseball, softball, football, basketball, and golf to mountain biking.
