AIA, LEED AP
Where did you go to school?
What do you do at RMW?
My role is to keep the Sacramento studio thriving (financially, professionally, culturally).
What do you like about the firm?
RMW has always been a great place for folks that want to explore different practice paradigms and build on work that interests them personally. If you have enthusiasm for pursuing a building type, a geographic area or a market, and you can demonstrate an approach with passion and planning, chances are the partners will support you.
What do you do outside the firm?
I am an avid builder and woodworker. I love to restore old tools and try to master their use – keeps me connected with our craft. I also collect midcentury jazz recordings on vinyl. I’m an analog kind of guy.
Why did you decide to go into architecture?
I love to build. It is kind of a sacred process – adding order to random things, arranging objects in space, feeling the power of our own creations. It’s a life-long addiction.
What sport do you play?
Golf (mediocre, but better than most of my partners).
