As Business Development Manager at RMW, you will collaborate with the executive, technical, and marketing staff to organize and manage the firm’s sales efforts. Your goal will be to successfully identify, cultivate, and solicit business opportunities for the firm, focusing on the specific markets relevant to the San Francisco office with a clear understanding of revenue-driven goals.
Determine sales strategy based on firm-wide financial goals.
Identify and develop business strategies to achieve revenue goals and business objectives.
Engage and influence industry executives and decision-makers.
Represent the firm at the highest level to clients, peer organizations, and business associates.
Work with technical and marketing staff to develop proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates.
Research and analyze potential business prospects, and work with RMW executive team to develop plans to optimize business opportunities to its full potential.
Be highly evolved in the training of technical and marketing staff on BD-related issues.
Manage client satisfaction programs.
Manage Customer Relationship Management system to track BD efforts.
Develop, maintain and leverage a strong industry business network.
Participate in a wide range of professional and client organizations.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of A/E/C industry best practices and an established industry network from which to draw, as well as exceptional communication skills contributing to a leadership persona. The position requires the ability to demonstrate tangible success in securing business. The successful candidate must be flexible, creative, self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work without close supervision. A high level of authenticity in building relationships to inspire the best effort from staff and clients is essential.
