Where did you go to school?
I graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho in Boise.

What do you do at RMW?
I am a junior designer, currently on the path to licensure. Since joining RMW I have been a part of large-scale master planning projects.

What do you like about the firm?
I love that RMW does various types of projects. The creativity behind the design is inspirational, but the thing I like most about this firm is the people who make it. I am very grateful to be surrounded by the talent and mentorship that is fostered here every day.

What do you do outside the firm?
Outside of work I enjoy exploring San Francisco. I’ll admit I have enjoyed trying new food places a little too much, so lately I’ve become a gym rat. I appreciate the occasional night out with friends to go dancing as much as binge watching the latest TV series with a nice glass of wine. And so far I have a 7-part concert series lined up for 2018 and a trip to South America to appease my traveler’s itch.

What is your favorite building or space?
The Shed, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, is currently under construction in Manhattan. If you have not heard anything about it, I would highly recommend you check out their schematic fly-through animation. The building incorporates a large kinetic structure that can slide from its hosted position into the adjacent courtyard to create an entirely new space that can be used for events, such as concerts, plays, sporting events, etc. This dynamic and adaptive architecture is what inspires me in our profession.
