Long before he considered a career in architecture, Chris was the child constructing things in his back yard with a palette of dirt, branches, and leaves. Growing up as a high school student during the computer era, he was introduced to AutoCAD which catapulted his passion for design. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a specialization in structures from the University of California, Irvine, and his master’s degree in architecture from the University of Washington. For Chris, a career in design has allowed him to stay connected to the child who used his imagination playing in the yard.
In his role at RMW, Chris provides expertise in structural systems, including wood frame, concrete tilt-up, mass timber, and steel construction for a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial clients. He is dedicated to architecture, not only as a profession but as a craft passed down through generations of thinkers and creators. Knowing that shared knowledge sets apart the good from the great, he uses his positive attitude and team-focused mentality to help create a transparent and open-minded platform for sharing ideas.
