Where did you go to school?
San Jose State University.

What do you do at RMW?
I assist with all phases of design; construction administration; coordination with contractor and sub-contractors; site surveys and field measurements; helping coworkers with Revit when they feel like throwing the computer out the window; scheduling and coordinating our rep calendar for product updates; lunch and learns; after work activities; library updates; reaching for things on high shelves in the breakroom; carrying heavy things in and out of the office; helping with the printers/plotters when something goes wrong; helping with minor IT related issues, and eating the last item of food in the break room because no one wants to take the last piece.

What do you do outside the firm?
I like to play golf and pick-up games of baseball or football with my friends.  I also do a lot of high-intensity interval training and pure strength training.  I believe that keeping the body sharp keeps the mind sharp as well, but I also enjoy eating pizza and binge watching whatever 2 or 3 shows I’m enjoying.

Why did you decide to go into architecture/design?
I changed majors a few times, not really knowing what I wanted to study.  A career counselor suggested that I try the interior design program; if I didn’t like it after a semester, he would help me find something else.  Turns out that the career counselor was also the head of the interior design program and was tasked with recruiting more male students. Nice trick, well played, I excelled and stuck with it.

What is your favorite recent travel experience?
Recently I did a 3 week trip around Europe visiting Hungary, Austria, Germany and Iceland.  All new places for new experiences. I loved it all, except for 4 flights and 5 airports in one day.
