Maria Custodio
Maria Custodio approaches architecture as both an art and a discipline, seeing it as a practice where creativity and logic work in tandem. With a foundation in AP Art and a love for calculus in high school, she recognized early on that architecture could unite artistic expression with analytical thinking.
For Maria, design begins with people. She believes architecture should shape the human experience by encouraging connection, comfort, and meaningful interaction. She draws inspiration from culture, music, and everyday movement, paying close attention to how light shifts through a space and how environments influence emotion. A guiding Bible verse reminds her to approach each project with intention, humility, and purpose.
Maria strives to ensure clients feel heard and supported, translating their vision into thoughtful, well-executed design solutions that inspire confidence. She brings a collaborative mindset, adaptability, and a willingness to learn to every team and project. She defines good design as anything that improves daily life through intuitive, functional, and meaningful environments. Her goal is to create spaces that feel welcoming and impactful, where individuals feel supported and inspired.
Maria resets creatively through movement and exploration. Taking walks, discovering new places, and stepping away from the screen helps her return to design with clarity and focus.
