Meilinda Darmawan

Born with a desire to create, Meil believes that having passion is the key to staying interested in what you do. Her passion for architecture is fueled as much by the meticulous work of pulling a project together as by seeing the final result. A detail-oriented person, Mei is captivated by how the intricacies are woven together, always appreciating that it’s the small things that make or break a project.

As an architectural designer, Mei looks to function and texture, believing that good design considers aesthetics and utility, while also being resilient and adaptable. Being part of a generation that is known for their desire to make a lasting and meaningful impact on the planet, Mei’s guiding philosophy is to leave things better than she found them. Her goal for every project is to bring her clients’ imaginings to life, giving them something that will be utilized and valued well into the future.

When she’s not designing, Mei seeks out activities that involve using her hands. An accomplished ceramicist, she enjoys molding clay into visually striking yet purposeful objects. Her other hobbies include reading and playing video games, all of which share a storytelling aspect to them.
