When the Oakland Athletics signed a deal to move to Sacramento’s Sutter Health Park while their new stadium was being built in Las Vegas, the opportunity and urgency were clear: transform a beloved minor league ballpark into a venue capable of delivering a Major League experience.

RMW was brought on to lead that transformation where it matters most: the fan and media experience. With a focused scope, tight budget, and fast-moving timeline, the team reimagined key hospitality and operations spaces to meet elevated expectations without losing the character of the park.

Along the baselines, premium environments were redefined. The Legacy Club, perched along the third baseline, was elevated into a refined VIP lounge experience, while the Solon Club on the first base side was refreshed to offer a more dynamic and comfortable setting for fans. Behind the scenes, RMW executed a comprehensive refresh of the press box, broadcast booth, and media suites. The dugouts were modified to accommodate television crews, and new roof access and camera platforms were integrated to expand broadcast capabilities and meet the demands of Major League coverage.

As the first pitch was thrown, Sacramento fans were welcomed into a ballpark that now performs at a higher level. Familiar yet transformed, the stadium reflects what’s possible when thoughtful design meets precision execution: a venue ready for the spotlight, and an experience worthy of the Major Leagues.
