Anchoring the gateway to Levi’s Stadium and future live work play high-rise neighborhoods, The Block will be two, 12-story Class A+ buildings totaling 1.1 million SF in the heart of Silicon Valley. This premier corporate campus, inclusive of two 43,500 SF steel and glass structures connected by a seven-level 91,360 SF bridge, will cover an entire city block at one of Santa Clara’s most prominent intersections, Great America Parkway and Tasman Drive.

Designed for Menlo Equities, the ten-acre site will include a 50,000 SF amenities building with a fitness center on the first level, conferencing facilities on the second, and a rooftop terrace on each building. The master plan for this transit-oriented development will incorporate a multifunctional courtyard for employee meeting, dining & recreation activities bounded by an “L” shaped 3.3/1,000 parking structure.

Site design for the iconic location facing the Old Ironsides VTA Lite Rail Station anticipates heightened pedestrian traffic on exposed sides of the buildings. Expanded sidewalks will create a generous street edge for a comfortable pedestrian experience that also supports the adequate separation between the building’s occupants and passers-by.

The innovative open design at each building edge overlooking Tasman will enable 29’ high ceilings at alternating floors to expand neighborhood views and create a visual connection between levels. On external and courtyard facing facades, small balconies will diversify the linear structures to create outdoor café seating on the second floor.
