Refreshed Brand, Re-framed Leadership, and a Renewed Vision for the Future

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, March 30, 2020. — For 50 years, RMW has delivered award-winning architecture and interiors for clients in the high-tech, science, healthcare, industrial, academic, and civic sectors. We are immensely proud of our legacy and equally excited about our future. Through five decades of continuous design practice, we have maintained a singular vision: to make a positive impact through the power of design. As we enter our second half-century, we affirm our commitment to design, lead, and inspire.

While we are proud of this achievement, we want to take a moment of pause during this overwhelming period of the global pandemic to reflect on what is truly important: our RMW family and the project partners who have helped us reach this milestone. We are grateful. We are resilient. We will get through this together.

To commemorate this 50-year milestone, we are delighted to reveal our new, refreshed brand identity and our new, redesigned website. Our new RMW logo signature – ‘the through-line’ – conveys an uncomplicated and elegant expression of connection. We chose a new look that is sophisticated yet approachable to illustrate our values of clarity, restraint, and humanity, and convey the connection between our various disciplines. Our new logo symbolizes the connection between our offices, between our people, between our work and our lives, between creativity and functionality, and importantly, between the legacy of the firm and its future.

“As part of the RMW family since 1985, it has been an honor to lead the firm over the last ten years as president, building on our proud legacy and preparing for the future. As 50 represents a monumental milestone of accomplishment, it is also a great time of new energy, new leadership, and renewed vision represented by our “brand” refresh. What a perfect time to hand the leadership of president over to my partner Stan Lew to bring in the next 50 years. As I continue my role as chairman of the board focused on strategy, I look forward to the renewed energy of deeper engagement with my clients and project work, which I have always truly enjoyed.”
