Project
Sacramento Kings’ Row One Club
Sacramento, CA

Since completing their downtown arena in 2016, the Sacramento Kings continue to develop new experiential offerings for stadium goers and fans. In an endeavor to provide a premium experience for those holding courtside seats, the Kings established the Row One Club, where members could have exclusive access to VIP amenities via a dedicated lounge just off the arena floor. The challenge was to convert two separate storage areas into 3,808 sf of contiguous luxury space while contending with existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
A custom bar with brass details that invoke a 1920’s era extravagance thoughtfully conceals most of the mechanical systems. The intimate bar area gives way to a voluminous and luxe lounge space. A custom-colored, laser-cut geometric framing detail is suspended over the lounge, making the 30-ft ceiling height feel less daunting. Illuminated columns and backlit semi-opaque panels in the casework provide grandeur, while rich fabrics and finishes lend to the opulence of the space. Between the bar and the lounge, a gallery wall of vintage photos dating back to the team’s origins and glass-encased vintage memorabilia complete the owner’s vision of a space that celebrates both the past and future of the team.
