When asked, Steve will tell everyone he loves what he does. From an early age, art, math, and the sciences stimulated his curiosity, shaping his professional and personal life. Architecture proved a perfect merger of all three passions and provided a powerful outlet for making a positive impact on his environment.
As a principal at RMW with an experienced design focus, Steve continues to find joy and gratification in being an architect and embraces exposure to any new challenge. He continually seeks opportunities to learn and to positively impact the firm’s design process by channeling what he has learned and applying it to designs that embody the vision of his clients – many of whom are actively changing the world themselves.
Steve believes we live in an amazing time in history. Design-for-Science – integrating complex programs, advanced technology with innovation mindful of solving for a sustainable future – has long been a personal passion. To recharge, Steve seeks the bounty of nature’s wildness as often as possible, far away from architecture and the urban condition. He enjoys plein-air watercolor both as a craft and as a way to slow down, observe and take in the world.
